BDO Canada has entered a deal with ServiceNow to blend advisory expertise with the vendor’s AI platform, aiming to help firms modernize operations and tighten governance of artificial intelligence projects. Both parties anticipate that the joint effort will accelerate digital transformation for their customers.
Deal structure and services
The advisory firm will offer strategy, roadmaps, workflow design, implementation, integration, change management, managed services and continuous improvement through its practice. It will also aid clients in service operations, process automation, digital risk response, AI governance and platform oversight. These services are designed to cover the entire lifecycle of an AI initiative, from initial concept through ongoing optimization.
The software vendor supplies the software layer that supports workflow and AI deployment across an organisation, while the firm aligns people, processes, data and controls to defined business outcomes. By providing the underlying platform, ServiceNow enables the firm to focus on the human and procedural elements that drive success.
Executive Views on the Collaboration
Austin D’souza said that merging ServiceNow’s AI platform with BDO’s industry, advisory and governance experience enables clients to move from strategy to execution and turn platform investments into business outcomes. He emphasized that the combined approach is intended to deliver measurable results for customers.
ServiceNow has been broadening its AI-related portfolio as corporate users seek to automate more work without adding fragmented tools. Mitch Bouchard described the partnership as a way to give customers a more direct route from platform adoption to operational use.
Target market and research
The offering is directed at businesses facing fragmented systems, manual procedures and weak oversight as artificial intelligence adoption outpaces internal controls. Research by the firm shows 46% of Canadian business leaders are testing AI without seeing meaningful return on investment. This level of experimentation indicates a gap between enthusiasm for the technology and measurable business impact.
“Organisations want more than technology implementation. They need practical ways to simplify operations, improve control, adopt AI responsibly, and generate measurable value,” said Austin D’souza, Partner, Technology Operations at the advisory firm.
“We’re thrilled to deepen our partnership with the advisory firm. This collaboration brings together the AI platform with deep consulting expertise – and most importantly, it means our Canadian customers get a faster path to real business outcomes,” said Mitch Bouchard, Group Vice President, Canada at the software vendor.
